The White Horse Inn is located on the side of the A422, the main trunk road from the market town of Banbury to Shakespeare's birthplace, Stratford-on-Avon. Part of the picturesque village of Wroxton, supposedly the most thatched village in England, the current building was built in approximately 1730, and became a public house in 1756, making it the oldest pub in the village.
Nowadays, the pub is well-known for its popular menu. a boon to many a hungry local and weary traveller along the road. With a wide range of pub classics, all prepared on site and many of them homemade, the menu offers everything from sandwiches and jacket potatoes up to steak, with a number of vegetarian options always available.
